Indiana State Police are looking into a deadly Semi Truck Crash in Ripley County. 31-year old Wess Lovins was killed in the Auto Accident when his car collided with a semi on United States 50. He was from Milan which is about an hour and a half southeast of Indianapolis. The tractor trailer’s driver and co-driver did suffer injuries. These injuries could be deemed Work Comp related because they happened while the victims were on the job.
As reported by www.eaglecountryonline.com in the article, “Milan Man Dies in U.S. 50 Crash,” Indiana State Police say Lovins was heading west on United States 50 when his car veered to the left and hit a semi truck head-on. The Ripley County Coronor’s office says Lovins died at the scene.
The deadly semi truck crash happened at 11pm. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the time period of 9pm-11:59pm is one of the deadliest with 4,359 fatal vehicle accidents. Only 3pm-5:59pm and 6pm-8:59pm are deadlier.
